My favourite study spots at KI Solna
Whether you just started at KI or have been here for longer: have you found “your” study spot(s) yet? Today, I’ll share some of my go-to places on campus Solna with you. To be honest, I usually focus the best at home, but sometimes it just fits better with my day to stay on campus after class (or to come before class). For those occasions, I’ll most likely go for one of these three locations.
Study room
KI study rooms book out quickly, so they’re not always available on a short notice. But they are perfect if you know in advance that you’ll need a calm spot for a certain day and time. And of course, they are most important for their intended use: scheduled group work.
There are study rooms around the entire campus, and my favourites are the ones in the Berzelius building.

KI Library
I like that the KI Library has different kinds of seating arrangements. There are classic, high and round tables and different types of individual spots (with small or no table). You’ll for sure find your match!
My personal favourite here is a tall, round armchair at the window. The only downside with that specific spot it that there is no direct power outlet, so you can’t stay forever (unless you have a cable that’s longer than mine, which might very well be).

Scheele building
Scheele building has several study spots. On the ground floor, you enter an aesthetic room that is literally always calm and quiet, at least in my experience. Depending on what I am doing and/or whether I am alone or with someone else, I go either for a group spot (not shown in the photo) or for an individual seat. I really love the atmosphere in this place.

And plenty more
These were just the first spots that came to my mind that I like to go to for focused study (or blogging) sessions. But there are many more, and even after many semesters at Karolinska Institutet, you may still be surprised by new inviting study places that you find.
Good luck with your next study sessions!
Linnea - Toxicology
Hi! I’m Linnea, a student in the Toxicology Master’s. I’m Finnish-German and originally came to Stockholm for the Bachelor’s in Biomedicine. Because of the high level of education at KI, the opportunities for students to get involved, and the life I’ve built here so far, I decided to stay for my Master’s. Toxicology was an obvious choice because I find it interesting and important. I love spending my free time in nature, cozily at home and at choir rehearsal. I’m excited to share my experiences with you!
