A few weeks ago, I went on a trip that was originally supposed to be mostly about hiking but turned out to be mostly about street art. Two friends and I left Stockholm’s city centre from the Tekniska Högskolan metro station with intentions to hike around a park that was known to have some graffiti murals along the way. We took line 14 (direction Fruängen) until T-centralen, where we switched over to line 19 (direction Hagsätra). We got off the train at Rågsved, at which point we walked for about 10 minutes and found a huge street art complex.

Upon our arrival, it was clear that we would be spending a lot of time there checking out all of the different murals and cool graffiti. For what would be an otherwise typical Sunday morning, there were many artists spray painting the big container walls in plain sight, even kids, which I found was really cool!

In this blog, you will find some of the pictures I took on this trip. In a way, it’s funny to think that, in this case, my photographs are truly capturing a moment in time – considering that by the time I (or some of you) will visit this park again, many of these murals will have already been covered by new art. So is the impermanent nature of street art!
